Eons Later
Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, located just outside the East entrance of Grand Canyon National Park (South Rim) is a striking volcanic landscape. Over 900 years after the most recent eruptions (1064 AD), the extensive devastation remains plainly visible. The foreground of this scene is busy and confusing in 2D. In stereo it resolves nicely into a revealing glimpse of this harsh environment, and life's relentless determination to reclaim the land.
Exposed on Fuji Velvia with a Stereo Realist 3.5, September 22, 1996. Stereo slide printed on Kodak paper via an inter-negative process, August 1997.
