A Little Shade of a Lilly Leaf

I took this picture in the summer of 1981 or 2 at Lake Tawakoni, in East Texas. I lived on the water, at the time, and had invited a bunch of friends over. I was majoring in Photography (under the instruction of Jim Newberry) at East Texas State U. in nearby Commerce, Texas. I did a lot of shooting and printing for his courses, such as Environmental Portraiture, Abstract and experimental, and Advanced Print Making. My friend was willing to pose down in the water, since we had been making enough noise and splashing to run off any snakes that might have been hanging around. I used Technical Pan Film, exposed at 25 ASA. This was probably about f22@1/10 or so, on my little Bell & Howell with Rodenstock lenses.
